jansen and comic great-whilce portacio at the toronto comicon (april 18). this is a long time coming and very worthwhile. getting to meet him is like a childhood dream come true. i'm high now with some lethal dose of inspiration to start drawing again...priceless!

i was playing with head shapes and somehow i thought that a skinny elongated head would fit him well.

i still haven't figured out yet as to why i keep drawing superman whenever i get a chance of a blank piece of paper and pen. i scanned this piece and put it on treshold hence, the darker lines. i hope the tilt of the head didn't make it more like a model pose. i still wanna keep a more hero like stance.

jim lee moment

this was taken on last summers fan expo at the mtcc. jim lee is the man and a living legend, (for me personally). it was this artist that sparked my interest in comicbooks a while back ago while growing up in the philippines. who'd knew i'd get a chance to meet him in person and in canada too. definitely a highlight for me.
